A recent transphobic article in Tablet drew my attention. It was long and covered a few topics. I described it here.

It was transphobic because it called broadly and vaguely not to recognize trans people’s genders and also because it argued that, since people in general don’t know themselves well, trans people aren’t equipped to know our own genders.

I wonder, though: Was its true purpose to talk about cis gay men not wanting to date trans men?

A Brief Word on ‘Types’

Some people are attracted to certain characteristics in others. Especially when these characteristics are superficial and apparent, finding them attractive is called “having a type.”
