Yesterday, Trump's transition co-chair, billionaire Howard Lutnick, told CNN that Elon Musk is going to create software for government use. (Sounds like a no-bid contract, in which the Trump admin would just hand over a big pile of taxpayer money to the richest man in the world?) Lutnick also said that scientists have secret data about a vaccine–autism link and that a Trump administration would release this never-before-seen data to RFK Jr. (who is not a scientist) after which RFK will promote his predetermined conclusion that vaccines are unsafe. Then, Lutnick says, the Trump administration will begin allowing vaccine manufacturers to be sued, and thus vaccines (all of them?) will be taken off the market.

Obviously this is multiple levels of bad, but related to your article, my question is: Why is it the Trump transition co-chair who's promoting all this? What does any of this scheme (I hesitate to call it "policy") have to do with a "presidential transition" or lack thereof? To me it looks like more evidence that no one on the Trump side is focused on Biden–>Trump continuity planning.
