Yes, gender-criticalism is a kind of dualism, like Manichaeanism, and nothing good comes of it. It fails from the get-go. They say: Physical sex is real (and it's good to recognize it); cultural gender is fake (and it's good to recognize it only for the purpose of critiquing its fakeness); BUT ALSO we need to restructure cultural gender based on recognizing physical sex (go figure!!!) because the important thing is to exclude trans people, since, while "we can always tell" who's trans (because physical sex never changes in any relevant way and remains magically transparent to everyone), nonetheless all kinds of initiatives are needed to deal with the fact that "we" can't actually tell who's trans (and thus we need cultural gender norms to prevent transness and stop trans people from doing whatever it is that needs to be stopped). It's just an endless loop of self-contradiction.
