Yeah, I think that’s going in the right direction! “Cis” and “trans” are concepts that depend on each other (in the way that all opposites depend on each other), and “nonbinary” is a concept that ought to illuminate the interdependence of “male”/”female” and “cis”/“trans” (if we take a full step back from those binaries and really think about them). Anti-trans people don’t like to use the word “cis” because it’s the key to figuring out stuff like “we’re allowed to be cis, and we should be allowed to be trans too” or “if everyone’s kind of cis, then everyone’s also kind of trans.” All the concepts would explode!
