Today, Trump is pretending not to know what Project 2025 is.

Funny: In 2020, he pretended not to know who the Proud Boys were, and three months later they were attacking the Capitol, for which four of their leaders were convicted of seditious conspiracy.

We are years into this. We cannot fall for it.

‘Stand Back and Stand By!’ as a 2020 Debate Remark

On September 29, 2020, during the presidential debate, Chris Wallace asked Trump: “Are you willing, tonight, to condemn white supremacists and militia groups and to say that they need to stand down and not add to the violence…?”

Trump said: “Give me a name, give me a name, go ahead: Who would you like me to condemn?”

Wallace replied: “White supremacists and racists.”

Biden proposed a name: “Proud Boys.”

Trump did not condemn them. Having been asked by Wallace to urge them to “stand down,” instead Trump said: “Proud Boys: Stand back and stand by!” Stand anything except down. And he addressed them directly on national TV.
