This is really important & a good observation. Just because certain transphobic "word clouds" play well on Twitter doesn't mean they are genuine policy priorities of ordinary people. If transphobic rhetoric wins votes, it's because saying "trans trans trans boogeymonster" gets politicians extra airtime and voters tune in for the "comedy" and it's all they remember on election day; it's not that significant numbers of people have as their #1 genuine political concern the fear of meeting a trans person.
