This is a great explanation. I can't pick just one sentence as my favorite because I love all of it.
There are ways for all of us to improve our social skills and protect our hearts/bodies/wallets/autonomy while we're out having fun. We can live in a socially inclusive way even when some interpersonal rejection is inevitable. We can't sleep with or marry everyone, and it's OK to acknowledge that we don't want to. That doesn't mean we have to deny others' identities or intentionally exclude them from community.
Of course, as you explained, for the founders of this app, social exclusion is the whole point.
