That comment you got — the person who told you to worry about your "soul" — fits under religious transphobia.

Whereas, curiously, the secular anti-trans "sex realists" have a typical line of attack in which they allege that it is trans people who believe in gender identity as if it were a "gendered soul." They conclude that being trans is merely a "religious belief," on the level of superstition, and can be discarded in the name of science and reality.

I'd really like to see the religious transphobes & the secular transphobes go after each other on this point. Alas, they only ever close ranks and go after trans people.
