Three ideas I’m revolving today. I’m trying to stay balanced in the best sense.

Speak Up About Your Values

If you believe a certain discourse is going in a bad direction, adding your voice may help. At least, when what you have to contribute is primarily your philosophy or opinion, you may want the freedom to say something.

You can try explaining your own position. Taking the opportunity to do so may help others.

An example:

…the majority of Virginians do not agree with the recent bills and policies from the Governor targeting transgender students in public schools.
What caused this shift from just a few years ago?
Words.

Keep breaking generational cycles of homophobia and transphobia and keep talking about it.
* * *
For my kids and every other kid out there like mine, for your gay and trans kids and your neighbors’ grandchild and your cousin’s second wife’s nephew, please keep running your mouth.
