Regarding a workplace situation in a previous job, I've tried discussing it with mutual colleagues who had power to do something. That approach was unsuccessful, unfortunately. This was a lesson in all kinds of things, including how powerfully whiteness closes ranks to protect itself and also how cognizant people are of radicalization and yet they "let it" happen — i.e., tacitly encourage it. If you'd like to know one of my successes, though, then I'll tell you I did write a novel about the situation.
