Or, since their attitude toward detransitioners may be better categorized as concern-trolling rather than true empathy: They'll platform detransitioners who they perceive as emotionally vulnerable, socially disconnected, and intellectually malleable and who they can persuade to parrot right-wing talking points—or whom the audience will at least presume has right-wing beliefs (because the detransitioner is performing "trans regret" trauma for them). Not all detransitioners want help from or any interaction with right-wingers, of course, and I don't imagine the right-wingers have real empathy for people who aren't useful to them.
