Oh, Ame — He perceives the world in an ideological battle between "his religion's scripture" and "the pharmaceutical industry," and of course he believes it's not the former, but the latter, that does "brainwashing." He seems to admit he's got no workable argument for religion over science—only the assumption that science has to hypnotize people into thinking it's real. Science must use cult tactics to win arguments, right? That is the scientific method, after all?
