Of course! Why would anyone want to respond to a stranger who has decided to seize on their life choices as fodder for an op-ed, without asking permission or interviewing them? Tomzcak added an "author's note" to the top of his December op-ed: "I attempted to give this article to Amy prior to publishing. She declined to read it..." Tomzcak's personal connection to Grant is that, according to his op-ed, he had "ministered with her in the past at 'Jesus Festival' events." OK, so he's met her before. Why is he writing an op-ed to criticize how she is a supportive aunt to her niece? And he asks for her help workshopping the anti-LGBTQ, anti-Amy-Grant message in the article she didn't ask him to write? What?
