No, I can't figure him out on a philosophical nor practical level. I understand this much: He says his body is female (because AFAB—it's his body & his term for it, I have no objection to his self-assessment) and his pronoun is "he" (again, his choice). What I don't understand is why he aligns and allies with the transphobes who would deprive him of his hormonal/surgical choices and even (though he's already transitioned) his pronoun. What does he get from them? Trans people would not only affirm his preferred sex/gender terms for himself, we'd also give him his pronoun—and so much more.
