A fourteen-line story made of six-word novels.

Schlosskirche (Castle Church) in Wittenberg.
A digital coloration of a 16th-century representation of Schlosskirche. Original by Lucas Cranach der Ältere.

“THREAD!” Luther thundered outside Castle Church.
“Listen up! I will tweetstorm it:
‘Disputation on the Power of Indulgences!’”
Disputationally addressing his helper, he ordered:
“Alexa, make the hashtag! #DisputedPower!”
“Nope. Gutenberg didn’t make pound signs.
Can it wait?” Alexa suggested pleasantly.
“Fine, tweets without hashtags. ‘THREAD!’ Ahem.”
He threaded, accumulating likes and retweets.
The next day, still flipping through
95 tweets, printed and pinned to
the door of Wittenberg’s Castle Church,
Alexa asked, “Whatever happened to blogs?”
“To be explained,” Luther reflected. “96 — ”
