After years of trolling trans people, haranguing on especially about how cis adults can possibly know trans kids are trans and whether those adults have been supporting kids too much and allowing them to transition too early, Jesse Singal is taking a much-needed break.

Detransition is OK

There is nothing wrong with transitioning, detransitioning, or retransitioning — in the transgender sense, as in most other contexts too. We are allowed to choose our paths. We are allowed to change course. We can get back on the horse, or we can say, Nope, no more horses.

The irony lies in an anti-transgender troll who’s been scaremongering for years over whether some people might be choosing the wrong kind of transgender path and who got so intense that he has now scaremongered himself off Twitter because he made a large and avoidable misstep on his own pseudo-career path. (Transphobia isn’t a real career. I don’t care what national magazines you’ve been published in.)

What He Did

He revealed info from a kid’s private medical records.
