It was 155 anti-LGBTQ bills, not pro-LGBTQ bills. From Branigin and Kirkpatrick's article in the Washington Post, which you cited: "...the American Civil Liberties Union began tracking anti-LGBTQ bills...155 such bills [had been] introduced by Oct. 13, 2022 [since the beginning of that year]."

Bill C-16 was in Canada. At the time you published this article in December 2022, it had been law for over five years. The law is about incitement to genocide. It isn't a law "requiring the use of specific pronouns for transgender people," nor does it turn mispronouning into "a hate crime under the criminal code." No one has been sent to jail for using incorrectly gendered pronouns for another person. If the law hasn't caused such a problem in over five years, I don't know why you are repeating someone's obsolete warning about what the law "could" do.

Jordan Peterson is a professional transphobe, and whatever he said in 2016 (I guess that would be the Murphy article in your sources) was not a good source of legal information at the time, and it's an even worse source now.
