I have a new paperback copy with an updated translation and introduction.
As I recall, Koestler's girlfriend translated his manuscript to English, and for decades it seemed that was the only surviving copy. But then, relatively recently, Koestler's original German manuscript was found, so now it has been revisited and retranslated.
I referenced Darkness at Noon when I wrote my own book, Ten Past Noon, about engaging with old, unpublished, handwritten texts.
