I don't personally remember the Carter administration (Reagan took office before my first birthday) but whenever I read about it, I'm continually struck by their humility and ethics. I don't know if there's a way to cultivate more of that in upcoming leaders. All I can do is write about it and maybe help others remember that it's possible.
