300,000 identity categories! I did not know. I wonder what patterns my internet stuff fits. For me, not candles and anime, but something else. Though it doesn't really matter what label anyone sticks on me or who else they stick in my category; I guess it matters more what some corporation/state is using my pattern for. That's a deeper level of mystery. If I don't know what it is, I don't know what they're using it for.

I'll have to re-read what I wrote and see how survivorship bias shows up (or doesn't, as the case may be, with this bias in particular).
